Our Story
Dykessvaz was founded in 2016 by Dr. Kwame Dykess and Nana Svazlian, two financial educators who recognized a significant gap in Ghana's educational system: the absence of practical financial literacy training. Having witnessed countless young adults struggle with debt and financial anxiety after graduation, they set out to create a solution that would address this critical need.
What began as informal weekend workshops at the University of Ghana quickly gained popularity, with students bringing friends and even professors recommending the sessions. By 2018, Dykessvaz had formalized its curriculum and established its first permanent location on Oxford Street in Accra's vibrant Osu district.
The company's name combines the founders' surnames, symbolizing the partnership between Ghanaian financial expertise and international educational methodologies that forms the foundation of our approach. Today, Dykessvaz has trained over 8,500 students and young professionals, becoming Ghana's leading provider of practical financial education for beginners.
